Steve Liu, L.Ac., BSEE
Steve Liu is a licensed Acupuncturist with licenses in Arizona and California. He studied Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine after working as an electrical engineer for a number of years. Steve attended the Acupuncture College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and was fortunate to apprentice with his mother, Dr. Grace Liu, a traditional practitioner and physician from the old school in China. He co-founded HanLing Acupuncture Healing Center, Inc. in Tucson, Arizona with his wife, Wen Ting, L.Ac., over a decade ago. Steve’s fascination with science combined with his familial roots led him to develop an innovative modern approach as an Acupuncturist integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine, Electro-Acupuncture, Laser Acupuncture, Laser/LED Light Therapy, Functional Medicine, and dietary enhancement. His trademarked FAST™ healing approach provides effective treatment for chronic pain and sports injuries. In addition to his clinical work, Steve is an instructor and author presenting lectures and seminars on Laser Light Therapy and Electro-Acupuncture at conferences throughout the U.S. and Europe. Steve’s personal journey has made him passionate about living a healthy lifestyle to promote health and longevity. He is the founder of the Q-100 Society in Tucson, Arizona where patients support one another to live to 100 years old with quality of life, which means no pills and no chronic disease. Steve helps patients achieve these goals by coaching them to eat plants, get physical, and have purpose.

Wen co-founded the HanLing Acupuncture Healing Center with her husband, Steve Liu, L.Ac., over two decades ago. Since 2020 Wen retired from her clinic practice and serves as a consultant to the Center.
Danette Baldonado is the office manager, and she is also the Yellow Tulip Parkinson’s Home Treatment Program customer service manager. She is a Tucson native and has a background in customer service and patient care. She graduated from Carrington college as a Medical Assistant in 2012 and entered the healthcare field. After working with a family practice doctor and observing them treat patients with a bulk of medications and injections, she evaluated her approach to medicine and decided to find another way. She was looking for something more than just prescriptions and shots and something more holistic. She started with HanLing Acupuncture Healing Center in 2013. With acupuncturist Steve Liu’s help she learned the importance of a healthy lifestyle and its impact for not only herself but her husband and their three children. She loves to help others live a better lifestyle and that in most cases she’s able to assist Steve in curing patients soft tissue injuries. Danette is a dedicated office staff member, passionate about health, and she is the first person that you will be greeted by when you visit our office.
“Steve helped me with migraine headaches that I had been suffering with on a daily basis for 10 years. I had been to many different Drs. Including the mayo clinic, various neurologists, chiropractors, pain specialists, migraine specialists, homeopathic Drs., etc., etc. No one had been able to help me.
I have Steve to thank for getting me on the right track. I am happy to report that I no longer have the migraines! Life takes on a new meaning when you are not suffering with pain.”
